6:30 pm Maundy Thursday service. From the Middle-English (Maundy) meaning “command,” this service of scripture readings and special music celebrates the last meal of Christ with his disciples in the sacrament of communion. It is also when we remember Christ’s new commandment, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)
